A new option of ‘Implement discount coupons at end (after all schemes as implemented)’ has been added in POS Options in Logic Admin. This tutorial will brief you about the working of this new option and its effect on sale bill.
The following image shows the new option in Global Settings of Logic Admin.
Step-1: Click on Setup Discount Coupons and enter the required details. In this example, a discount coupon of Rs.600 will be applicable, if the minimum amount of sale bill is Rs.5,000.
By default, discount coupon is implemented on Gross Amount. This means that coupon will be implemented even if Net Amount of bill is less than 5000 after applying schemes.
If Implement discount coupons at end (after all schemes as implemented) option is selected in Logic Admin then all calculation, while implementing discount coupon will be done on Net Amount of bill, i.e, the amount after implementing all the schemes. (Refer to the image below):
Step-2: Generate a sale bill. The following image shows the sale bill without any scheme or discount coupon:
Step-3: Apply scheme campaigns. The following image shows a scheme of Rs.85 which is to be applied on the sale bill.
The following image shows the sale bill after applying scheme of Rs.85. The net amount of the bill has reduced to Rs.4915.
Step-4: Click on Select Discount Coupons to apply a discount coupon on the sale bill. Select the coupon number and click on Ok. (Refer to the image below):
The net amount of the bill (amount after applying all schemes and taxes) is Rs.4,915, which is less than the minimum amount of Rs.5,000 which we had defined in setup discount coupons. Therefore, a message has been prompted saying that the discount coupon cannot be implemented on this bill. (Refer to the image below):
Let us now increase the amount of bill by increasing the quantity so that the net amount becomes equal to or more than the minimum amount of Rs.5,000. (Refer to the image below):
The discount coupon will be applied now because the net amount of the sale bill was more than the minimum amount of Rs.5,000. (Refer to the image below):
