In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of creating item names in Logic ERP using different components. By leveraging this feature, you can efficiently generate item names using predefined formulas and structures, ensuring consistency and accuracy in your inventory management.
Open Logic ERP and navigate to the main menu.
Go to Setup Items and click on Multiple Pack Sizes.
Locate the Configuration settings and open the Item Name Form feature.
Here, you will find different methods to create item names:
Manual Entry
Group - 1 Short Name +1
Item Name Formula +1
We will go through each of these methods one by one.
Click on the Item Name Field.
Start typing the desired item name manually.
Save the entry.
This method provides full flexibility, allowing users to enter item names without any predefined rules.
First, enable this option in Configuration.
Ensure that Group One is defined and assigned a Short Name.
When creating an item, the system will automatically append the Group One Short Name followed by an incrementing number (e.g., ABC1, ABC2, etc.).
Helps categorize items efficiently.
Ensures unique identification of items.
Automatically increments the number as new items are added.
Enable the Item Name Formula +1 in Configuration.
To create an item name formula, go to Configuration 2 and click on "Item Name Formula."
Now, the item name will be automatically generated using the item name formula, along with a numeric value.
