## Logic ERP Desktop Installation With SQL Server 2017

In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the complete installation process of **Logic ERP software along with SQL Server**, ensuring a smooth and error-free setup.

### **Step 1: Download Logic ERP and SQL Setup**

* Open your web browser and go to: <https://www.logicerp.com>
* Click on **My Account**.

* Log in using your **username and password** provided at the time of registration.

* Download the **Logic Installer**.

* Choose and download the **latest compatible SQL version** (ensure compatibility with your operating system).

### **Step 2: Prepare Installation Folders**

1. Avoid installing Logic ERP in the **C: Drive**.
2. Create two new folders (preferably in D: or E: drive):
   * Logic
   * Logic Dump
3. Move the downloaded setup files to the **Logic Dump** folder for future use.

### **Step 3: System Configuration**

* Open the **Control Panel**.
* Navigate to the **Region Settings** → Set **Format** to *English (India)*.
* Click on **Additional Settings**:
  * Set **Short date format**: DD-MM-YY
  * Set **Long date format**: DD-MM-YYYY

* Click **Apply** and **OK** to save changes.

### **Step 4: Install Logic ERP**

1. Extract the Logic setup file.
2. **Right-click** on the installer and select **Run as Administrator**.
3. If prompted to install **.NET Framework**, click **Download and Install**.
4. Once installed, **run the Logic setup again**.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions:
   * Select the **Server**

* Choose your **purchased product.**

* Select the previously created **Logic folder** as the installation path.

### **Step 5: Install SQL Server**

* Extract the SQL Server setup file.
* **Run setup** and select **New SQL Server installation**.

* Choose **Default Instance**.
* Set the **SQL Server Browser** startup type to **Automatic**.

### **Step 6: Install SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)**

1. Extract and run the SSMS setup.
2. Click **Install** and wait for the process to complete.

### **Step 7: Connect Logic ERP with SQL Server**

1. Open **SQL Server Configuration Manager**.
2. Go to **SQL Server Network Configuration** → **Protocols for MSSQLSERVER**.
3. Enable any disabled protocols.

   * Copy the **server's name**
   * Connect using the **username and password** you created earlier

### **Step 8: Attach Logic Databases**

1. Launch **Logic Update Manager**.
2. Click on **Setup Databases**.
3. Browse to define the **Company Info** path:
   * Copy it from the **MDB Back** folder into your `Logic` folder.
4. Enter the **server's name**, **username**, and **password**.
5. The **Company Info** and **Logic DB** will be successfully attached.
