Welcome to this tutorial! 🎉 Learn how to design, customize, and print barcode labels in Logic ERP. Whether you're in retail or inventory, this guide will help you master barcodes with ease! 🛍️📦
🔧 Access Configuration:
Click on Configuration in the top-left corner.
✅ Assign a unique name to your configuration setup.
📂 Navigate the Main Menu:
Head to the Main Menu.
Select Reports/Queries 📝
📊 Item Reports Selection:
Inside Reports/Queries, click Item Reports.
🏷️ Barcode Labels Printing:
Click on Barcode Labels Printing to get started!
🧩 Each Unit – Prints based on the conversion factor in purchases.
🎁 Free Units – Barcodes for free units in a purchase bill.
🔢 Every Piece – Assigns a barcode to each item purchased.
And more! Select the option that suits your needs best! ⚙️
🖥️ External Software for Label: Select Logic Barcode.net as the external software for labels.
🧷 Data Source Type As: Set as Embedded
📁 User Column Options: Select Item Directory Path (Default or User-Defined).
🔐 Rate Encryption: Choose rates to be displayed in encrypted form.
✅ Save your configuration before proceeding.
🧾 You can generate barcodes using three methods:
📌 Item-Wise
🧾 Voucher-Wise
📦 Stock-Wise
📝 Example: Generating Barcodes from a Purchase Voucher.
Select a Purchase Voucher - Items within the voucher will be displayed along with their quantities, rates, and other details.
Choose an Item – Select the item(s) ➡️ for which you want to generate barcodes.
Click "Create"
✅ Select "Yes" to print the barcodes immediately.
🎨 Select "No" to open the design window and customize the barcode before printing.
Designing a barcode in Logic ERP is a straightforward process that allows customization based on your business needs. Follow these steps to create a barcode design:
Click on "Create" ➕ to begin designing a new barcode.
Click on "New" to initiate a fresh barcode design. 🆕
🏷️ Assign a Name to your barcode design for easy identification.
Select the Unit 📏 of Measurement (inches, centimeters, or millimeters) according to your label size.
Set the Height and Width of the barcode sticker to ensure it fits your label dimensions.
Customize Additional Settings such as📝 text, 🎨 fonts, 📊 barcode format.
💾 Click Save or Save As for re-use.

Navigate within your app.
Choose DBF as data source type.
📂 Locate Item Directory File:
Go to your firm’s barcode folder 🗂️ where you have stored the item directory file.
🛠️ Create Table Manually (if needed):
Manually add if not auto-loaded
🖨️ Printer & Page Size: Select the appropriate printer and page size that match your document's requirements.
📐 Measurement Units: Choose your preferred measurement units from inches, centimeters, or millimeters.
↔️ Spacing & Margins: Modify the spacing and margins to suit your document layout needs.
🎯Configuring Print Quality Settings: Opt for higher quality settings for sharper and more vibrant outputs, keeping in mind that these may take longer to print.
🎨 Color Schemes: Adjust hue, brightness, and more to ensure your output matches your aesthetic or branding needs.
Click on Insert Tab → Select the Text Box ✏️
Right-click to customize font style, size, and effects 🎨
💡 Data Source Options:
🧍 Fixed Value: Enter static text.
📂 Database Field: Select a field (e.g., Item Name).
💻 Visual Basic Script: Advanced scripting for barcode design.
🧑💻 User Defined Prompt: Manual data (e.g. Expiry Date)
🔄 Inline Script: Create dynamic formulas to modify barcode data.
🧮 Example: If the original MRP is ₹470 and the script adds ₹10, the barcode will show ₹480.
🖼️ Insert Image: Browse and adjust the placement.
🏷️ Insert Barcode: Choose a barcode type (e.g. Code 128 for high-density barcodes).
Modify barcode color, size, length, height, and text visibility.
Set Database Field as a source (e.g., Lot Code or Item Code).
Click Save Design and Preview the Print 👀
Enter any User Defined Prompts manually.
Select Items ➡️ and Enter Label Quantity
Click Create ➡️ and Choose a design ➡️ Click Yes to print. ✅
