In pharmacy and medical retail, certain medicines require strict documentation for legal and safety reasons. πΌβοΈ Items under the NRX (Non-Repeatable Prescription) category must include Patient Name and Doctorβs Name before billing. π§ββοΈπ¨ββοΈ
This guide shows how Logic ERP helps enforce this rule in the Sale Bill β Touch Screen interface and how to configure it for specific item groups. π²β
π To demonstrate how the Logic ERP software prevent billing of NRX items without required patient/doctor info. βοΈ Learn how to enable or disable this rule at the item group level.
Launch the Sale Bill screen in the Touch Screen mode.
Begin creating a new sales billπ§Ύ.
Do not fill in the Patient Name and Doctor Name in the bill header.
Add an item that is categorized under the NRX groupπ.
π‘ Tip: NRX items typically require detailed documentation due to their medical and legal sensitivity.
Try to save the billπΎ.
βThe system will deny the 'Save the Bill' operation.
π¨A warning or error message will be displayed, indicating that Patient Name and Doctor Name are required for billing NRX items.
β οΈ This is a built-in compliance feature to prevent unauthorized or incomplete dispensing of prescription-controlled items.
Return to the bill header section.
Enter the:
π§ Patient Name
π¨ββοΈ Doctor Name
Save the bill againβ .
This time, the bill will be saved successfullyπ, as all required fields are completed.
The system now recognizes the bill as validπβοΈ, since it meets the required compliance checks.
The enforcement of patient and doctor information can be configured at the item or item group level by following these steps:
Go to the Item Master or Item Group SettingsποΈ.
Locate the column or setting labeled βPrompt if Selected in Billβ.
For any group (such as NRX) where compliance is mandatory, select βYesββ .
Once enabled, the system will always check for Patient and Doctor Names when any item from this group is includedπ in a sale.
β This allows you to customize the validation behavior based on item type or regulatory requirements.
π‘οΈRegulatory Compliance: Ensures adherence to prescription medicine regulations.
π«Error Prevention: Avoids accidental sale of restricted medicines without documentation.
πAudit Readiness: Keeps your records complete and ready for inspections or audits.
π§¬Patient Safety: Supports better traceability and accountability in pharmaceutical transactions.
The ability to enforce mandatory entry of Patient and Doctor info for NRX items makes your pharmacy:
β More compliant. β More secure. β More patient-focused.
Configuring this setting in Logic ERP ensures that your team never bypass these important details when handling sensitive medications ππ».
