## How to Restrict Multiple Rates for the Same Item in a Sale Bill

This tutorial explains how to enable a setting that prevents users from entering different rates for the same item within a single sales bill.

***

### **Access Global Settings**

* Navigate to the **Logic** folder on your system.
* Run **Logic Admin** to access configurations.
* Locate the **Global Settings** option within Logic Admin.
* Go to the **Sales Settings 2** tab under the Sale.
* Locate the option: **"Do not allow Different Rates for Same Item in Billing"**
* Check the checkbox to activate the restriction.

* Click **Save** to apply the changes.
* **Restart** the application to ensure the setting takes effect.

***

### **Implement the Configuration**

* Open the billing window and try entering the **same item multiple times with different rates**.
* When you attempt to save the bill:
  * The software will **prevent the bill from being saved**.
  * An **error message** will appear indicating that a different rate for the same item exists.

This setting helps maintain pricing consistency and avoids billing errors related to inconsistent item rates.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/user-access/logic-global-admin/sale/sale-settings-2/do-not-allow-different-rates-for-same-item-in-billing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
