## How to Filter Items using Default Item Groups in Purchase?
In this tutorial, we will discuss an option that allows you to define the default item groups in the purchase configuration.
### Steps to Configure Default Account Groups:
1. Open **Purchase Voucher Configuration**.
2. Navigate to **Other Settings 1**, then click on **Other Settings** again.
3. Go to the **Defaults 2** tab and locate the **Default Item Groups** option.
4. Select the appropriate Item group from the dropdown list.
5. Tick the Item groups you want to link with the configuration.
This picture illustrates how we have selected the Default Item Groups.
### Effect of This Setting:
* When creating a new voucher, the search list will display only the Item that belong to the predefined default Item groups.
Here, only the selected group's Item are displayed.
