 In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of creating an item name formula in Logic ERP. This feature automates item naming, reducing manual effort and ensuring consistency in your inventory.

Accessing the Configuration Settings

• Navigate to the Setups/Setup Items and then click on "Setup Items Multiple Packs/Sizes".

• Click on the Configuration.

• Locate the option "Item Name Formula." under the Configuration option-2 tab.

As shown in the picture, click on "Item Name Formula."

• As soon as you select "Item Name Formula," a configuration window will appear

• Allowing you to define a custom script to generate item names based on your specific requirements.

Create the script exactly as explained and shown in the picture.

• Once you have configured the script, click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.

Creating a New Item with the Formula

• Open the New Item creation window.

• Enter the necessary item details without manually typing the item name.

• The item name will be automatically generated based on the predefined formula.

As you can see, the item name has been generated by combining Gender, Fabric, and Company Name.
