# How to perform Stock Re-construction?

After performing [**Close Books**](https://www.logicerp.com/tutorials/?p=5860\&preview=true&_thumbnail_id=3627), you also have to do stock re-construction. For doing so, follow the given steps:

Login to the new financial year (2019-2020) created during Close Books

**Step-1** In the Utilities, go to Stock Re-construction.\
**Step-2** Stock Re-construction window will open.\
**Step-3**

If you want to do Stock Re-Construction only for current branch then select Current Branch from drop down.

**Step-4** Click on **Stock Re-construction** button.

Wait for the process to finish.

For validating the stock check stock report in previous and current financial year. Last years closing stock should be current years opening stock.
