## How to create items with multiple packs?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to **create items with multiple Packs/Sizes** in **Logic ERP**. This feature is widely used in **Pharmaceutical** and **FMCG** businesses where items are sold in different pack configurations.

### Open Setup Items Multiple Packs/Sizes

* Navigate to **Main Menu**
* Navigate to Setup/Setup Items and Click **Setup Items Multiple Pack/Sizes**

### **Enter Basic Item Details**

* Start typing the **Item Name**

* Click on **Image** to upload the item image from your system

* If the company is not available in the dropdown:
  * Navigate to **Setup Company**
  * Enter **Company Name** and **Short Name**

* Save and return to the item setup screen
* Select the newly created company

### Define Item Classification

* Select **Item Type**:
  * Raw Material or Finished Goods

  * Required fields must be filled before saving

### Create Multiple Packs / Sizes

* Go to the **Packs/Sizes** tab
* If the required pack is not available:
  * Click **New Pack**
  * Enter **Pack Name** and **Short Name**

* Enter a **Unique Item Code** for billing and scanning
* If the item has multiple scan codes:
  * Enter them in **Additional Item Code**

### Define Conversion Factors

* Enter **Conversion Factors** (units per pack)
* Example:
  * 1 Pack = **32 Sachets**
  * 1 Case = **160 Sachets**
* Conversion factors help when selling **loose quantities**
* Up to **three conversion factors** can be defined per pack size
* You can set **different conversion factors** for:
  * Purchase
  * Sale

### Add More Pack Sizes

* Swipe right to view pack details

**Save the Item**

* Click **Save** to store the item along with its Packs/Sizes

### Modify Existing Items

* Use the **Filter Tree** (top-right corner)
* Type the item name and press **Enter**
* Click the item name
* Make the required changes

* Set **Default Conversion Factors** for Purchase and Sale
* This avoids selecting conversion factors every time during item creation

* Enter **Item Name**
* Select **Company**

* Enter **Item Name**
* Select **Company** or choose **Nil**
* Set **Item Nature** as **Service Item**
* **Untick** “Do Not Affect Stock”

* Scroll down and enter the new HSN Code

  * Select **Dot (.) or Hyphen (-)** in pack size
