This tutorial provides a comprehensive guide to managing the bundle creation workflow in a sequential production environment — commonly used in textile🧵, apparel👕, and fabrication🏗️ industries. Bundling streamlines production tracking, ensures process accuracy, and enables efficient worker-wise payroll management.
A bundle is a set of items grouped and tracked together during production. 🆔Each bundle is assigned a unique number, often using a prefix formula for easier tracking and identification.
⚠️ Important Rule: Bundles can be created only once, and only when all production processes are set up in a sequential order (e.g., Cutting → Stitching → Finishing).
Before any production begins, bundling must be enabled at the process level.
Go to the Production section in Main menu, then click on Production Setups and select Setup Process Groups/Processes.
Select the relevant process (typically Cutting✂️, but can vary by business).
Enable the option: ✅ Allow Create Bundle.
Define a Bundle Prefix Formula🧩 — this will auto-generate bundle numbers like CUT-001
, STCH-002
, etc.
💾Save the configuration.
✅💡 Tip: Use logical, department-based prefixes for easy reference in floor-level operations.
🎯A job order acts as the production blueprint. It details the product🧥, quantity📏, and timelines⏳.
Navigate to the Production section, the click on Production Vouchers and select Job Order option.
Select the Product to be Manufactured.
Enter the required Production Quantity.
Link any applicable Designs, Styles, or Color Variants.
💾Save the job order.
🎯📌 This step formally initiates the production plan and is linked throughout the job's lifecycle.
Assign tasks to workers or departments by creating an issue document.
Open the Production option, then click on Production Vouchers option, and select Issue For Processing - First Process option.
Select the Worker👷, Department🏭, and Process🔁.
Link🔗 it with the previously created Job Order.
Enter the quantity of material to be issued for this stage.
💾Save the entry.
📦 Materials are now officially dispatched to start production.
This is the core step where the first stage of production is completed and bundles are formed🎉.
Go to the Production section, then select Production Vouchers option, and click on Receipts Against Issues - Internal for the process (e.g., Cutting).
Select:
Process
Issued Material (e.g., fabric rolls)
Input the Output Quantity✅ and confirm Bundle Creation✅.
💾Save the production entry.
The system auto-generates unique bundle numbers.
Bundles are physically created and grouped together.
Bundles are placed in a designated area (e.g., Cutting Floor).
They remain on hold until all necessary raw material is added for further processing.
📍 Bundles are now ready to be forwarded to the next department — typically Stitching.
To maintain clarity and tracking throughout the workflow, print stickers for each bundle.
Access the Reports/Queries section, then click on Item Reports option, and select Barcode Labels Printing option.
Select the Bundle Numbers you wish to print. (Need to Select Purchase from the Dropdown)
🖨️Print and attach the stickers to physical bundles.
🧾 Stickers often include:
🔢Bundle Number
🔗Job Order Reference
⚙️Process Stage
📏Quantity
🎨Product/Color/Size Info
Bundles are now transferred from the Cutting Department➡️ to Stitching in a sequential line process.
Navigate to the Production section, then select Production Vouchers option, and click on Issue for Processing - Internal option🔗.
Bundles arrive at the first line station1️⃣.
Each worker👷 completes their designated part of the stitching.
The bundle is passed down the line💾, maintaining order.
All bundle movements are recorded✅ for tracking and payroll purposes.
📊 This approach provides transparency and visibility at every point of production.
📋For every new process (e.g., Stitching🪡, Finishing✨):
Open the Production Entry screen.
Select the Bundle Number📦.
Record the Quantity Completed✅.
Repeat this step for each process until the product is finished.
📍 This ensures traceability of each bundle from raw material to finished stock.
When all processes are completed:
🏁The final bundle-wise production entry is saved.
✅The system adds the finished product to inventory.
📦The job is marked complete and ready for dispatch or QC.
🚚 Bundles are no longer needed at this stage — only the final stock entry matters now.
Accurately track and pay workers based on bundles handled💸.
Go to the Production section, then click on Production Vouchers and select Sub Process Wise Payroll Entry option.
Choose:
⚙️Process
🧩Sub-process
📄Document
Press Spacebar to view bundle-level data.
For each bundle:
👷Select the Worker
✍️Enter the Quantity Completed or Piece Rate
💾Save the entry.
💸 This improves payroll precision and motivates performance through visibility.
🧮Generate detailed reports to monitor:
👷Worker-wise productivity.
🔁Process-wise output.
📦Bundle tracking.
💰Balance or pending bundle processing.
📈Payroll audit reports.
📊 These insights help identify process bottlenecks, reward top performers🎖️, and improve planning📋.
Practice
Why It Matters
Use clear prefix formulas
Easier tracking across departments
Keep bundles small but logical
Speeds up line flow and reduces bottlenecks
Print stickers for all bundles
Prevents confusion and loss
