YouTube: How to Disable Item Description Formula in Item Modification?
In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to prevent the automatic application of the item description formula when modifying an item in Logic ERP. This feature ensures that item descriptions remain unchanged after the initial creation, allowing for better control over data consistency.
To create an item Description formula, go to Configuration 2 and click on "Item Description Formula."
Click here to learn more about it.
Navigate to the Setups/Setup Items and then click on "Setup Items Multiple Packs/Sizes".
Click on Configuration.
Locate the option and enable "Do Not Apply Item Description formula in Modify Mode" under the Configuration option - 1.
Proceed with creating a new item.
The item description will be automatically generated based on the formula.
Save the item to finalize the process.
Open the previously created item.
Modify specific details, such as the shade name.
Observe that while the shade name has changed, the item description remains unchanged, as the formula is no longer applied in modify mode.
By enabling this feature, Logic ERP provides greater control over item descriptions, preventing unintended modifications while ensuring data accuracy. This is particularly useful for businesses that require stable descriptions across their inventory.
