How to Configure Item Group wise consolidated Sale Report?

In this tutorial, we’ll learn how to configure item groups or categories in the Sale Register Cross Tab Report to analyze sales based on item classifications in Logic ERP.

Access the Sale Register Cross Tab Report

• Go to the Reports/Queries section.

• Select Sale Registers.

• Open the Sale Register - Cross Tab report.

• Click on Configuration to open the setup window and define a new report configuration.

Define Report Options

• Under Report Consolidation, select Item.

• Within Item Consolidation, tick Group and move it to the top using the arrow keys.

• In the Report Total section, enable the Grand Total option to display overall totals.

• Under Report Order, move Item to the top using the arrow keys to prioritize the item sequence.

Configure Transaction and Other Options

• Go to the Transaction Options section.

• Enable the setting Display Transaction Details.

• Choose whether you want the report shown by Value or by Quantity.

• In the Other Options section, configure any additional preferences as needed.

Configure Group Options

• Navigate to the Group Options section.

• Click on Extra Item Groups to open the list of available item group levels.

• Select the Category Group or the desired group type.

• Save your selections once done.

Finalize and Customize Columns

• From the available configurations list, select your newly created configuration and click Create.

• By default, all columns will appear in the report.

• To customize:

  • Click on Setup Column Attributes.

  • Select all columns first, then choose only the required ones.

  • Make sure to include the Extra Item Groups column — this is essential to display the category columns.

  • Rearrange column order using the arrow keys if needed.

• Save the settings.

Generate and View the Report

• Refresh the report by pressing F2.

• The report will now display sales details by item category within the defined date range.

• These results are based on the groups you configured earlier.

View Report Using Filters (Without Predefined Groups)

• You can also generate the report without predefined groups.

• Click on the Extra Item Group Filter.

• A complete list of all item groups will appear.

• Select any group to view consolidated sales — either Quantity-wise or Net Value-wise, depending on your preference.
