How to Allocate Items to GST Item Groups and Apply Group-wise Tax Allocation?

In this tutorial, we’ll learn how to allocate items to GST item groups and set up group-wise taxes in Logic ERP.

Create a New GST Item Group

• Go to the Setup Item Menu → open Setup Item Group.

• As per the new GST tax slab, we’ll create a GST 40% group.

• Locate the GST Group at Level One and click Refresh to view existing GST tax groups.

• Enter GST 40% (or just 40%) as the new group name.

• Assign a short name and click Save.

• The newly created group will now appear under the GST group list.

Deallocate Items from an Existing Group

• To reassign items, first deallocate them from their current group.

• Right-click on the existing GST group and select Deallocate.

• A list of allocated items will appear → select the items you want to remove and click OK.

Allocate Items to the New Group

• Right-click on the GST 40% group and select Allocate Item.

• From the list, select the items you want to assign to this group.

• Save the allocation.

(Tip: You can repeat the same process to move items between any tax slab groups.)

Set Up Group-Wise Taxes

• Navigate to Setup\Setup Taxes and then select "Set Group Wise Taxes"

• Select the newly created GST 40% group.

• Choose both Exclusive and Inclusive tax regions.

• Click Refresh to view available tax types.

• Press the Space Key to link the appropriate tax types with the GST 40% group.

• Once all mappings are done, click Save.

Items are now successfully allocated to the GST 40% group, and the group-wise taxes are linked in Logic ERP.
