In this tutorial, we will address an error that may occur while printing barcodes. This error typically arises when the item directory path is not properly specified in the configuration settings. Follow the steps below to resolve this issue:

Steps to Reproduce the Error:

1. Access Reports and Queries:

   • From the Main menu, Navigate to Reports/Queries.

   • Expand the Item Reports option.

   • Click on Barcode Label Printing.

2. Choose Purchase Voucher:

   • Select the Purchase Sale Barcodes section.

   • Choose the purchase voucher for which the barcode needs to be generated.

3. Create Barcode:

   • Select the item.

   • Click on Create.

   • The error "System Cannot Find the File Specified" (EL) will appear, indicating that the item directory path is not configured correctly.

Steps to Resolve the Error:

• Go to Configuration:

  • Navigate to Configuration from the main menu.

  • Click on General Options.

  • Under External Software for Label, select Logic Barcode.Net.

• Specify Item Directory Path:

  • Go to the User Column Options.

  • Set the Item Directory Path to User Defined Path.

• Browse and Set Directory:

  • Click on Browse to locate the path.

  • Navigate to the drive where Logic Barcode is installed.

  • Open the Barcode folder and select the Item Dir file.

  • Save the configuration changes.

• Test Barcode Creation:

  • After saving the configuration, return to the barcode creation process.

  • Select the same voucher and item.

  • Click on Create again. You should now see the Print Barcode screen.
