How to Refresh Linked Tax Types Before Saving in Sale Bill?
In this tutorial, we’ll explore an important feature in Logic ERP that ensures accurate tax slab application when item rates are modified — especially for GST-linked tax types.
Default Behavior (Without the Feature Enabled)
Let’s first understand what happens before enabling this option:
Create and save a sale bill with an item priced above ₹1000.

Reopen the same voucher and edit the item rate to ₹899.

Save the changes.
Observation: Even though the rate has been changed to ₹899 — which should switch the applicable GST slab from 12% or 18% to 5%, the tax rate remains unchanged. The system does not automatically refresh the tax slab.
Enabling the Feature
Open Logic Admin.
Navigate to Global Settings.
Under Sales click to Settings 1,
Locate and enable the option Labeled as:
“Refresh Taxes for Linked Tax Types Before Saving”

Save the settings and restart the software.
How It Works After Enabling
Once the system restarts:
Open the previously saved bill.
Again, change the rate to ₹899.
Observe the tax section before saving:
The software will now automatically refresh and apply the correct linked tax type — in this case, switching to 5% GST.

Key Benefits
Ensures real-time tax slab accuracy based on item rates.
Reduces manual intervention and chances of tax mismatches.
Automatically honors rate-based GST conditions.
