How to Set Different Layouts for Retail Customer Creation within Billing?

In this tutorial, we’ll discuss a global option in Logic ERP that allows you to create a retail customer directly within the billing window, with varying levels of detail.


Default Behavior

  • By default, a retail customer can be created:

    • From the bar on the right side (with limited fields).

    • Or by clicking on the Customer button.

  • This default method provides only basic customer information entry.


Configuring Detailed Customer Creation

  • Open Logic Admin.

  • Navigate to Global Settings

  • Under the POS Options Click to POS Options 3.

  • Locate the option labeled as:

    Retail Customer Creation from Billing

  • This option comes with a dropdown containing four choices:

    • Default – Basic fields for quick customer creation.

    • Summary 1 – Additional fields with moderate detail.

    • Summary 2 – More detailed layout for customer entry.

    • Summary 3 – Advanced and comprehensive customer creation form.


Applying the Setting

  • Select Summary 3 for an enhanced customer creation process.

  • Save the changes and restart the software to apply the new configuration.


Using Enhanced Customer Creation in Billing

  • Open the Sale Bill Window.

  • Start a new transaction.

  • Click the Customer button.

  • The system now opens a detailed customer creation form with extended fields, allowing you to capture and save complete customer information.

This feature allows businesses to capture more accurate and detailed customer data directly during billing, improving customer records, loyalty programs, and analytics.
