In this tutorial, we will learn how to use the "Do Not Calculate Points on Redemption Bill" option in Logic ERP to prevent loyalty points from being earned on Sales Bills where existing loyalty points are redeemed.
Objective of This Feature
Prevent loyalty points from being awarded on redemption bills
Avoid earning additional points on discounted transactions
Maintain better control over loyalty point calculations
Apply specific rules to bills involving point redemption
Access to the Customer Points Configuration
Navigate to the Set Customer Points Configuration module.
Existing Loyalty Settings
₹100 Purchase = 1 Loyalty Point
1 Loyalty Point = ₹10
Observe the Disabled State
Locate the option labeled as:
"Do Not Calculate Points on Redemption Bill"
Keep "Do Not Calculate Points on Redemption Bill" disabled.
Save the configuration changes.
Existing Balance
Navigate to the Sales Bill module.
Select an existing loyalty customer with available points.
The selected customer has: 40 Loyalty Points
Redeem Loyalty Points
Generate a Sales Bill for the customer.
Redeem the available loyalty points.
Save the Sales Bill.
Observation
Now, create a new Sales Bill and search for the same customer.
As the feature is disabled, the system calculates and awards loyalty points on the redemption bill based on the eligible bill amount.
Enable the Redemption Bill Restriction
Return to the Set Customer Points Configuration module.
Enable "Do Not Calculate Points on Redemption Bill".
Save the configuration changes.
Generate Another Redemption Bill
Navigate to the Sales Bill module.
Select an existing loyalty customer with available points.
Generate a new Sales Bill.
Redeem the available loyalty points.
Save the bill.
Verify Loyalty Points
Create another Sales Bill.
Search for the same customer.
As the feature is now enabled, the system does not calculate or award any loyalty points on the bill where loyalty points were redeemed.
