# Do not Calculate Points in case of Sp Occasion Discounts

## How to Skip Loyalty Point Calculation for Birthday /Anniversary Discounts?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to prevent loyalty points from being calculated on Sales Bills when a **Special Occasion Discount** is applied, using the **"Do not Calculate Points in case of Sp Occasion Discounts"** option in Logic ERP.

### Objective of This Feature

* Prevent loyalty points from being awarded on special occasion discounts
* Exclude discounted transactions from loyalty point calculation
* Manage birthday and anniversary-based loyalty rules
* Ensure accurate and controlled reward distribution
* Apply loyalty program policies consistently

### Access to the Customer Points Configuration

* Navigate to the **Set Customer Points Configuration** module.
* Locate and enable the option labeled as:

> **"Do not Calculate Points in case of Sp Occasion Discounts"**

### Observe the Default Behavior

For this example, the feature is initially **disabled**.

The loyalty point settings are already configured as:

* **₹100 Purchase = 1 Loyalty Point**
* **1 Loyalty Point = ₹10**

### Configure Special Occasion Discounts

* Navigate to the **Setup Customer Special Occasion Discounts** module.
* Here, you can define special occasion discounts such as:
  * **Birthday**
  * **Anniversary**

**Configure the Discount**

* Define the required:
  * Validity Days
  * Discount Percentage
  * Discount Field
* For this example, a **10% Cash Discount (CD)** is configured as a Birthday Discount.

### Create a Sales Bill with Special Occasion Discount

* Navigate to the **Sales Bill** module.
* Create a new **Loyalty Customer**.
* Enter the customer's **Date of Birth**.

* Proceed with the Sales Bill entry.

**Observation**

When you click **Save**, the software automatically applies a **10% CD** as a Birthday Discount.

* Save the Sales Bill.
* Reopen the same bill and review the loyalty points.

#### Result – Feature Disabled

Since the **"Do not Calculate Points in case of Sp Occasion Discounts"** option is disabled, the customer **still earns loyalty points** despite receiving the special occasion discount.

### Enable the Special Occasion Discount Validation

* Return to the **Set Customer Points Configuration** module.
* Enable the option **"Do not Calculate Points in case of Sp Occasion Discounts"**.
* Save the configuration changes.

#### Generate Another Sales Bill

* Create a new **Loyalty Customer**.
* Enter the customer's **Date of Birth**.
* Generate a new Sales Bill.

**Observation**

* A **10% CD** is automatically applied as a Birthday Discount.
* Save the Sales Bill.
* Reopen the bill and check the loyalty points.

#### Result – Feature Enabled

Since the feature is now enabled, the software **does not calculate or award loyalty points** for the transaction where the Special Occasion Discount has been applied.
