# Print Pcs Wise Barcodes

**YouTube:** [How to Configure Piece-Wise Barcode Label Printing?](https://youtu.be/KObhw7Ywh0o)

## How to Configure Piece - Wise Barcode Label Printing?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to use the **"Print Pcs Wise Barcodes"** option in Logic ERP to generate separate barcode labels for each piece of an item during barcode label printing.

***

### Objective of This Feature

* Generate separate barcodes for each piece
* Print piece-wise barcode labels
* Avoid printing the same lot code on every label
* Simplify individual item identification
* Improve barcode tracking at the piece level

***

### Access to the Barcode Label Printing Configuration

* Navigate to the **Barcode Label Printing** module.
* Open the **Configuration** window.
* Locate and disable the option labeled as:

> **"Print Pcs Wise Barcodes"**

***

### Observe the Disabled State

* Navigate to the barcode printing section for **Purchase Vouchers**.
* Select the required Purchase Voucher.
* Select the required item.
* Click on **Create**.

The **Barcode Printing Design Selection** window will appear.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2Fa9gRiu1p06fYbfsqUuvj%2FYes%20Or%20No.png?alt=media&amp;token=1c850587-53e4-4942-839f-9988cabbc4fa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Open the Barcode Design

* Click **No** to open the barcode design window.
* Click **Open**.
* Select the required barcode design format.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2Fv3doHm1pAf1iEeKOiYoh%2FOpen.png?alt=media&amp;token=82662042-2bd8-41cd-a4d6-ace1b2929889" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Important Note**

For PCs-wise barcode printing, the barcode database field must be configured as **Lot Code** for both:

* **Barcode**
* **Barcode Value**

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FEL1AXiA5qSvIKo3G0OyY%2FLot%20Code%20-%20Properties.png?alt=media&amp;token=ba00242e-a65c-4a15-b090-0edba0aaeb2d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Observe the Print Preview

Since **"Print Pcs Wise Barcodes"** is disabled:

* The system does not generate separate barcodes for each piece.
* The same **Lot Code** is displayed on each barcode label.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FCoSYcPlBolMuOiUr6La6%2FSame%20Barcode.png?alt=media&amp;token=4ee64b04-822a-406d-b48c-5e598c955655" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

***

### Enable Pcs-Wise Barcode Printing

* Return to the **Barcode Label Printing Configuration**.
* Enable **"Print Pcs Wise Barcodes"**

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FCKEcGbD0karkSatK3w1V%2FEnable%20the%20option.png?alt=media&amp;token=b70821c2-6814-4a47-be38-9765a76430a1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Save the configuration changes.
* Select the same Purchase Voucher again.
* Select the required item and create the barcode.
* Open the required barcode design.

### Verify PCs-Wise Barcodes

* In the print preview, the system now successfully generates **separate barcode labels for each piece**.
* Each piece receives its own barcode, allowing individual pieces to be identified and tracked separately.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2F3GbxAi7YNPC8tgfyR5cp%2FPrint%20Preview.png?alt=media&amp;token=bca40f8b-1379-4eaf-aafd-7dff1586e2b4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

***

### Key Benefits

* **Piece-Level Identification:** Generate a unique barcode for each piece.
* **Better Tracking:** Easily identify individual pieces using their barcodes.
* **Accurate Label Printing:** Prevents the same barcode from being printed for every piece.
* **Efficient Inventory Management:** Simplifies piece-wise tracking and scanning.
* **Flexible Configuration:** Enable or disable PCs-wise printing as required.

***

### Important Note

Before enabling the feature, ensure that the barcode design uses **Lot Code** as the database field for both the **Barcode** and **Barcode Value** fields.

***

### Final Outcome

After enabling **"Print Pcs Wise Barcodes"**, Logic ERP generates **piece-wise barcode labels**, allowing each individual piece to have its own barcode instead of printing the same Lot Code on every label.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/reports-queries/item-report/barcode-labels-printing/barcode-labels-printing-configuration/print-pcs-wise-barcodes.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
