## How to Pick Rates from Item Masters in Barcode Label Printing?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to use the **"Pick Item Wise Rates"** feature in Logic ERP to display the item-wise rate defined in the Item Master on barcode labels instead of using the purchase rate from the voucher.

***

### Objective of This Feature

* Display item-wise rates on barcode labels
* Pick rates directly from the Item Master
* Replace purchase voucher rates when required
* Maintain consistency with configured item rates
* Improve accuracy in barcode label pricing

***

### Access to the Barcode Label Configuration

* Navigate to the **Barcode Label Printing** module.
* Open the **Configuration** window.
* Locate and disable the option labeled as:

> **"Pick Item Wise Rates"**

***

### Observe the Default Behavior

* Print the barcode for a **Purchase Voucher**.
* Select the required Purchase Voucher.
* Select the required item and click **Create**.
* In the Barcode Printing Design Selection window, click **No**.
* Click **Open** and select the required barcode design.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2Fb8nMiGSeoetdeABXserK%2FDefault.png?alt=media&amp;token=1115a9d6-7031-4c04-9e5d-7f20f47c9d88" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

* The barcode displays the rate based on the **Purchase Rate** from the voucher.

***

### Verify the Purchase Rate

* Open the same **Purchase Voucher**.
* Review the rate of the selected item.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FKdU0C0ttsr7cNc4jTwwx%2FPurchase%20Voucher%20Preview.png?alt=media&amp;token=7623f8e9-1e68-44a4-bc47-f3f367108553" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

* The rate displayed on the barcode matches the **Purchase Rate** mentioned in the voucher.

***

### **Now, let's observe the behavior after enabling the feature.**

* Return to the **Barcode Label Printing Configuration**.
* Enable **"Pick Item Wise Rates"** option.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FoGJ1zhUHWRJShcuqtCRW%2FCNF%202.png?alt=media&amp;token=939e57af-d512-4228-8a61-b770ebc5a442" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Save the configuration changes.

***

### Verify the Item-Wise Rate

* Select the same **Purchase Voucher**.
* Open the barcode design for the same item.
* Preview the barcode label.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FRxLkKNCP8SwP4Ezo90pp%2FItem%20Wise%20Rate.png?alt=media&amp;token=dde638d2-5a79-4611-af92-905f734396ca" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

The barcode now displays the **Item-Wise Rate** instead of the Purchase Rate from the voucher.

***

### Verify the Rate in Item Master

* Open the **Item Master**.
* Search for the same item.
* Navigate to the relevant **Item Rates** section.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FaE4JCABbUUWwCqv7ms5B%2FRates%20in%20Item%20Master.png?alt=media&amp;token=63bf4071-311b-4b32-bd04-ba7fa2e82b17" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

The rate displayed in the Item Master matches the **Item-Wise Rate** shown on the barcode label.

***

### Key Benefits

* **Accurate Pricing:** Displays the rate configured specifically for the item.
* **Centralized Rate Management:** Picks rates directly from the Item Master.
* **Consistent Labels:** Keeps barcode pricing aligned with item-wise rates.
* **Flexible Configuration:** Allows users to switch between purchase and item-wise rates.
* **Reduced Manual Effort:** Automatically retrieves the configured item rate.

***

### Important Note

When **"Pick Item Wise Rates"** is disabled, the barcode uses the **Purchase Rate** from the voucher. Once enabled, the system picks the applicable **Item-Wise Rate** from the Item Master.

***

### Final Outcome

After enabling **"Pick Item Wise Rates"**, Logic ERP automatically picks the configured item-wise rate from the **Item Master** and displays it on the barcode label instead of the purchase rate from the Purchase Voucher.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/reports-queries/item-report/barcode-labels-printing/barcode-labels-printing-configuration/pick-item-wise-rates.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
