## How to Configure Default Delivery Days in Sales Orders?

In this tutorial, we will learn how the **Delivery Days As** feature works during Sales Order generation in Logic ERP. This feature allows you to automatically calculate the Delivery Date based on either the Customer Master or a predefined number of delivery days.

***

### Objective of This Feature

* Automate Delivery Date calculation.
* Reduce manual date entry.
* Improve delivery planning.
* Ensure consistent delivery schedules.
* Support customer-specific or fixed delivery periods.

***

### Access to the Sales Order Configuration

* Go to the **Sales Order Module**.
* Click on **Configuration**.
* Select the required Sales Order Configuration.
* Locate the option labeled as:

> **"Delivery Days As"**

<figure><img src="/files/5vUyQrZVS1tFtwTGkK6L" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This option provides three parameters:

* **None**
* **Account Master**
* **Defined Days**

***

### Option 1: None

When **None** is selected:

* No automatic Delivery Date calculation is performed.
* Users can manually enter the Delivery Date whenever required.

<figure><img src="/files/2OnWGwfm5Ig0GhdIRdvd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

* The Delivery Date remains User-Defined.

***

### Option 2: Account Master

When **Account Master** is selected:

* The system retrieves the predefined Delivery Days from the Customer Master.
* The Delivery Date is calculated automatically based on the Sales Order Date.

***

#### Define Delivery Days for the Customer

* Before creating the Sales Order:
  * Open **Enter Customer/Supplier Wise Other Details**.
  * Select the required Customer.
* Define the **Sales Order Delivery Days**.
* **Example:** Delivery Days = **25 Days**

<figure><img src="/files/d4iIZtW9myBksSp2RY6N" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Save the changes.

***

#### Observe the Functionality

* Return to the **Sales Order Module**.
* Click **New Order**.
* Select the same Customer.

**Let's Assume:**

* **Sales Order Date:** 04 August 2026

If the **Delivery Date** column is not visible:

* Open **Setup Column Attributes**.
* Enable the **Delivery Date** column.

<figure><img src="/files/0hVW86NskXJfkMAV2oh6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

The system automatically calculates the Delivery Date.

<figure><img src="/files/bGUBWjeV4JcDjaf1sRni" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Example:**

* Sales Order Date: **04 August 2026**
* Delivery Days: **25 Days**
* Delivery Date: **29 August 2026**

The calculated Delivery Date is automatically displayed in the Item Details grid.

***

### Option 3: Defined Days

This option allows you to specify a fixed number of Delivery Days directly in the configuration.

The system automatically calculates the Delivery Date using the configured value.

**Configuration**

* Select **Defined Days**.
* Enter the required number of Delivery Days.

<figure><img src="/files/QZtB89QNk1Rl7RO2Q4hj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Example:** Delivery Days = **10 Days**
* Save the configuration.

***

#### Observe the Functionality

* Click **New Order**.
* Create a new Sales Order.

**Let's Assume:**

* **Sales Order Date:** 04 August 2026

**Result**

The Delivery Date is calculated automatically.

**Example:**

* Sales Order Date: **04 August 2026**
* Defined Delivery Days: **10 Days**
* Delivery Date: **14 August 2026**

<figure><img src="/files/j5oi7mvhNMfy4LdrlPnu" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The calculated Delivery Date is automatically populated in the Delivery Date column.

***

### Key Benefits

* Automates Delivery Date calculation.
* Reduces manual effort.
* Improves delivery planning.
* Supports customer-specific delivery schedules.
* Ensures consistency across Sales Orders.

***

### Best Practice Tips

* Use **None** when Delivery Dates vary for every order.
* Use **Account Master** to maintain customer-specific delivery commitments.
* Use **Defined Days** when a standard delivery period applies to all customers.
* Keep customer delivery days updated to ensure accurate delivery scheduling.

***

### Final Outcome

The **Delivery Days As** feature enables Logic ERP to automatically calculate the Delivery Date during Sales Order generation. Depending on the selected option, the system can use customer-specific delivery days from the **Account Master**, a fixed number of **Defined Days**, or allow users to enter the Delivery Date manually, making order processing faster, more accurate, and consistent.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/order-processing/sale-order/so-configuration/delivery-days-as.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
