# Generate Sales Order Wise DO

**YouTube:** [How to Generate Sales Order-Wise Delivery Orders?](https://youtu.be/eD8TqZq8Vxk)

## How to Generate Sales Order - Wise Delivery Orders?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to configure Logic ERP to generate a **separate Delivery Order for each Sales Order**.

By default, when multiple Sales Orders are selected, the system combines them into a single Delivery Order. Using the **Generate Sale Order Wise Delivery Order** option, you can configure the system to create an individual Delivery Order against each selected Sales Order.

***

### Observe the Default Behavior

Let's first understand how the system works by default.

* Open the **Delivery Order** window.
* Click on **Sales Order Selection**.
* Select the required Sales Orders.
  * For this example, we are selecting **three Sales Orders**.
* Click on **Generate Order**.

#### Default Behavior

As you can see, by default:

* The system combines the selected Sales Orders.
* A **single Delivery Order** is generated for all the selected Sales Orders.

***

### Let's Enable Sale Order-Wise Delivery Order Generation

Now, let's configure the system to generate a separate Delivery Order for each Sales Order.

* Open the **Delivery Order Configuration** window.
* Navigate to the **General Settings** section.
* Locate and enable the option labeled as:

> **"Generate Sale Order Wise Delivery Order"**

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2Fh6ug5aaKu0rJ3kDc2lba%2FCNF.png?alt=media&amp;token=6f123f5a-8b3d-45e1-8b87-f0f0d4d6eb42" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Save the configuration changes.

***

### Generate Separate Delivery Orders

Now, let's verify the functionality.

* Reopen the **Delivery Order** window.
* Initiate a new Delivery Order entry.
* Click on **Sales Order Selection**.
* Select the required Sales Orders.
* Click on **Generate Order**.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FRvvNUW1URUaLpvVw44v7%2FSO%20Wise%20DO.png?alt=media&amp;token=92e736cb-7d99-4e23-92a2-1bad41a1f25c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### System Behavior

This time, the system generates **three separate Delivery Orders**.

* Each Delivery Order is created independently.
* Each Delivery Order is linked to its respective Sales Order.

For example:

* Sales Order 1 → Delivery Order 1
* Sales Order 2 → Delivery Order 2
* Sales Order 3 → Delivery Order 3

***

### Key Benefits

* Generates separate Delivery Orders for individual Sales Orders.
* Maintains a clear relationship between Sales Orders and Delivery Orders.
* Prevents multiple Sales Orders from being combined into a single Delivery Order.
* Provides better control over order-wise dispatch and tracking.

#### Final Outcome

By enabling **"Generate Sale Order Wise Delivery Order"**, Logic ERP generates a separate Delivery Order for each selected Sales Order instead of combining multiple Sales Orders into a single Delivery Order.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/order-processing/generate-delivery-orders/generate-delivery-orders-configuration/generate-sales-order-wise-do.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
