# Do Not Generate Group Wise DO

**YouTube:** [How to Disable Group-Wise Delivery Order Generation?](https://youtu.be/VS9EElojJRM)

## How to Disable Group -Wise Delivery Order Generation?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to disable the generation of separate Delivery Orders based on item groups. This configuration allows you to generate a **single Delivery Order for all items**, even when the items belong to different groups.

### Check the Default Behavior

Let's first understand how the system works by default.

* Open the **Delivery Order** window.
* Click on **Sales Order Selection**.
* Select the required Sales Order.
* Click on **Generate Order**.

#### Default System Behavior

* As you can see, by default, the system generates **three separate Delivery Orders** because the items in the selected Sales Order are divided into different groups.
* Group-wise Delivery Order generation can be useful when items from different groups need to be processed separately.

However, if you want to generate **one Delivery Order containing all the items**, you can disable this behavior.

### Disable Group-Wise Delivery Order Generation

To disable group-wise Delivery Order generation:

* Open the **Delivery Order Configuration** window.
* Navigate to **General Settings**.
* Locate and enable the option labeled as:

> **"Do Not Generate Group Wise DO"**

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FlYENmddoA0ZKWb7EdIkp%2FCNF.png?alt=media&amp;token=1c9728d3-3c59-4954-b9bc-8ce6c932206d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Save the configuration changes.

#### Generate the Delivery Order

Now, reopen the **Delivery Order** window and start a new entry.

* Click on **Sales Order Selection**.
* Select the required Sales Order.
* Click on **Generate Order**.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FFBbG77qadH01UB6pu8kP%2FSingle.png?alt=media&amp;token=0c4bbaf0-0635-48f8-a41a-eb5866a63e7f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### System Behavior After Configuration

As you can see, this time, the system generates **a single Delivery Order** containing all the items instead of generating separate Delivery Orders for each group.

#### Final Outcome

By enabling **"Do Not Generate Group Wise DO"**, you can prevent the system from creating separate Delivery Orders based on item groups and generate **one consolidated Delivery Order** for the selected Sales Order.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/order-processing/generate-delivery-orders/generate-delivery-orders-configuration/do-not-generate-group-wise-do.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
