***

### Objective of This Feature

* Filter items based on specific Item Groups.
* Simplify the Item Search List.
* Reduce item selection errors.
* Improve transaction efficiency.
* Display only relevant raw materials during Issue Register entry.

***

### Review the Default Behavior

* Open the **Issue Register** module.
* Initiate a new Issue Register entry and open the **Item Search List**.

By default, the Item Search List displays **items from all Item Groups**, as no default group filter has been configured.

***

### Let's Configure the Default Item Group

* Open the **Configuration** window from the header section.
* Navigate to the **Raw Material Issue Settings** section.
* Locate the option labeled as:

> **"Specify Item Groups for Filter"**

This window displays all Item Groups configured in the system.

**Result**

The Item Search List now displays **only the items belonging to the selected Item Group**, making item selection quicker and more organized.

***

### Key Benefits

* Displays only relevant items during Issue Register entry.
* Simplifies the Item Search List.
* Reduces selection errors.
* Improves user productivity.
* Supports better control over raw material transactions.

***

### Best Practice Tips

* Configure Item Groups based on your operational requirements.
* Periodically review Item Group assignments to keep filters accurate.
* Use this feature to minimize unnecessary items in the search list and improve transaction efficiency.

***

### Final Outcome

After enabling **Specify Item Groups for Filter**, Logic ERP filters the Item Search List in the Issue Register to display only the items belonging to the configured Item Group. This streamlines the item selection process, improves accuracy, and enhances overall transaction efficiency.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/inventory/issue-register/issue-register-configuration/specify-item-groups-for-filter.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
