# Allow Assembly Plan Retrieval of Any Date

**YouTube:** [How to Allow Retrieval of Assembly Plans For Any Date in Assembling?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O886W86p084)

## How to Allow Retrieval of Assembly Plans For Any Date in Assembling?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to retrieve an **Assembly Plan from any date** using the **Allow Assembly Plan Retrieval of Any Date** feature in the Assembling Module of Logic ERP. This feature removes the default date restriction and allows users to retrieve assembly plans created on previous dates.

***

### Objective of This Feature

* Retrieve Assembly Plans created on any date.
* Remove the current date retrieval restriction.
* Simplify production planning and reprocessing.
* Improve flexibility in the Assembling Module.
* Access historical Assembly Plans whenever required.

***

### Access to the Assembling Configuration

* Navigate to the **Assembling Module**.
* Open the **Configuration** window.
* Locate the option labeled as:

> **"Allow Assembly Plan Retrieval of Any Date"**

<figure><img src="/files/i9jvKBi0gT1DKxiYvscF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

By default, this option is **disabled**.

***

### Observe the Default Behavior

Before enabling the feature, let's understand the default behavior.

* Click **Retrieve Plan**.
* Select an Assembly Plan created on a previous date.

**Example**

* Current Date: **30th July 2026**
* Assembly Plan Date: **10th July 2026**

<div><figure><img src="/files/s38Km2uxE2ig888Q1RGb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="/files/OJu64xuLnntOM63Y6eEm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

**Result**

The selected Assembly Plan is **not retrieved** because the system only allows retrieval of Assembly Plans created for the **current date** when the feature is disabled.

***

### Let's Enable the Feature

* Return to the **Configuration** window.
* Enable the option: **"Allow Assembly Plan Retrieval of Any Date"**
* Save the configuration.

**Retrieve the Assembly Plan Again**

* Click **Retrieve Plan**.
* Select the same Assembly Plan dated **10th July 2026**.

<figure><img src="/files/svbBJzL5RAitxw9csyRn" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

The Assembly Plan is successfully retrieved, regardless of its creation date.

***

### Key Benefits

* Retrieve historical Assembly Plans with ease.
* Improve production planning flexibility.
* Eliminate date-based retrieval restrictions.
* Reuse previously created Assembly Plans whenever required.
* Enhance operational efficiency in the Assembling Module.

***

### Best Practice Tips

* Enable this feature if your organization frequently works with historical Assembly Plans.
* Verify the selected Assembly Plan before retrieval to avoid processing incorrect production data.
* Use this feature for re-planning, corrections, or repeating previous production schedules.
* Keep Assembly Plans organized for quick and accurate retrieval.

***

### Final Outcome

After enabling **Allow Assembly Plan Retrieval of Any Date**, Logic ERP allows users to retrieve Assembly Plans created on any date instead of restricting retrieval to the current date. This provides greater flexibility for production planning, simplifies access to historical plans, and improves overall efficiency in the Assembling Module.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/inventory/assembling/assembling-configuration/allow-assembly-plan-retrieval-of-any-date.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
