# Job Slip Viewer

**Available on:** Desktop · Web · Phone

In Setup Appointments, open the menu and double-click **Appointments › Job Slip Viewer**. It usually opens by itself when you start Setup Appointments.

The Job Slip Viewer lists every service that has been **checked in and not yet billed or completed** — including services already paid for in a package. It is the front desk's work list: from here you bill clients, change or delete job slips, record parameter values and print job slips. Services run by the **Batch Manager** are not listed there. If **Use For Current Branch Only** is ticked in Configuration, you see only this branch's job slips.

## The list

One row per service:

| Column                                             | What it is                                                                                                          |
| -------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **SELECT** | Tick the rows you want to work on |
| **APPOINTMENT ID** | The job slip number |
| **APPOINTMENT DATE** | The date of the service |
| **APPOINTMENT TYPE**, **STATUS** | Always *JobSlip* and *CheckedIn* here |
| **CUSTOMER NAME**, **CUSTOMER GENDER** | The client, with their membership number in brackets |
| **STYLIST NAME**, **SERVICE NAME**, **GROUP NAME** | Who is doing what — the service with its pack in brackets |
| **START TIME**, **END TIME**, **TOTAL COST** | When, and the price |
| **APPOINTMENT GROUP** | The grouped appointment the service belongs to — *GRP* and a number; *GRP0* means it is not part of a group |
| **FINAL REMARKS** | Remarks typed when package services are marked completed — usually empty here, as completed services leave the list |

Services already paid for in a package (**pre-billed**) are shown in red on light sea green.

* **From** — the earliest date shown. It starts at **30 days ago**; clear it to see every open job slip.
* **Refresh** — reads the list again; do this after changing **From**. The list also reloads when you come back to its tab and after a bill is saved, but not on a timer.
* **Group By** — sorts the list by **Appointment ID** (the default), **Appointment Date**, **Customer Name**, **Stylist Name**, **Service Name**, **Group Name**, **Status**, **Appointment Type** or **Appointment Group**. Within each, services are in start-time order.
* **Select Group** / **Unselect Group** — ticks or unticks every row that has the same value as the row you are on, in the **Group By** column. With Group By set to Appointment ID, it ticks every service on that job slip.

The number of services shows at the top right.

## The buttons

| Button                  | What it does                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        |
| ----------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Modify** | Opens the job slip of the row you are on (no tick needed) in the **Create Jobslip** window, to add or remove services. A grouped appointment cannot be changed here — *"Grouped appointment cannot be modified!"* |
| **Create Bill** | Bills the ticked services — see [Billing Appointments](/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/billing/setup-appointments/billing-appointments.md). **They must all be on the same job slip**; otherwise you are told *"Multiple appointment services cannot be billed together!"*. If **Show Parameter Values Before Billing** is ticked, the **Parameter Values** window opens first |
| **Delete** | Deletes the ticked services after you confirm *"Are you sure you want to delete selected job slips?"*. Any package service used is given back |
| **Param. Values** | Opens the **Parameter Values** window for the ticked services; with none ticked, you can search for the job slip first. See [Check-In and Parameter Values](/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/billing/setup-appointments/appointments/check-in-and-parameter-values.md) |
| **Print** / **Preview** | Both show the job slip of the ticked services in a preview, from which you print. If the job slip design is set to print without a preview, it prints straight away |
| **JobSlip Print** | Opens the job slip search. Pick one or more job slips — they need not be in the list — and they open for printing |

**If every ticked service was already paid for in a package**, with no extra charge, **Create Bill** does not open a bill. Instead it asks *"Mark the selected Pre-Billed Package Appointment as Completed..."*; choose **Yes**, type any remarks in **Enter Remarks**, and the services are completed. You are then asked *"Print Final Job Slip?"*. Cancelling the remarks completes nothing.

**Modify**, **Create Bill**, **Delete** and **Print** need the matching rights (modify, billing, delete and print).

> **Example — billing at the end of a visit.** Riya had a haircut with Anita and a hair spa with Meera, both on one job slip. When she comes to the counter, leave **Group By** on **Appointment ID**, click one of Riya's rows and press **Select Group**: both services on her job slip are ticked. Click **Create Bill** — one bill opens with both services on it. (Services on two different job slips cannot be billed together: bill each job slip separately.)

## On the web

The Job Slip Viewer opens as a pane over the diary, with each service shown as a **card** on any screen.

* Tick a card with its **checkbox**. Tapping elsewhere on the card makes it the current row (for **Modify** and **Select Group**) without ticking it.
* A line above the list shows how many services there are and how many are ticked.
* Changing **From** reloads the list straight away.
* Pre-billed services have a sea-green stripe and a **Pre-billed** label.
* **Print**, **Preview** and **JobSlip Print** print through the browser — see **Printing**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/billing/setup-appointments/appointments/job-slip-viewer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
