## How to Enable Bin Selection in Packing Slips?

In this tutorial, we will learn how to configure **manual bin selection** in Packing Slip Entry in Logic ERP. This feature allows users to select the required bin manually and allocate stock from the selected bin for each item.

***

### Configure Bin Selection

* Open the **Packing Slip Configuration** window.
* Navigate to the **Other Options One** section.
* Locate the option labeled as:

> **"Bin Selection As"**

**Available Options**

The **"Bin Selection As"** option provides two choices:

* **None:** No bin selection is required during Packing Slip entry.
* **Manual:** Allows the user to manually select the required bin for each item.
  * Select **"Manual"** from the dropdown list.
* Navigate to the **Other Options 2** section.
* Locate and enable the option labeled as:

> **"Pick Stock from Bin"**

* Save the configuration changes.

**Repeat the Process**

* Similarly, select the required bin for each item.
* Scan the corresponding item code.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2FOoYmGghZpOEwSkuGsmWb%2FDefine%20Item%20Code.png?alt=media&amp;token=6cdf5439-4928-4b50-9b4f-09bb7e19ffad" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* The system will allocate stock according to the selected bin.

<figure><img src="https://4031188996-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FXMVkjt8zqHBQX1c9QvFS%2Fuploads%2Fc0jUnol7q2AL1RA5heID%2FScan.png?alt=media&amp;token=563246f0-fcef-4e6d-b9c6-e0ee46ed1c6b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Result**

The stock is allocated directly from the **manually selected bin**, giving the user complete control over bin-wise stock allocation during Packing Slip entry.

***

### Key Benefits

* **Manual Control:** Allows users to select the required bin for each item.
* **Accurate Allocation:** Ensures stock is picked from the selected bin.
* **Bin-Wise Management:** Makes it easier to manage inventory across multiple bins.
* **Better Flexibility:** Users can choose different bins for different items within the same Packing Slip.

#### Final Outcome

After configuring **"Bin Selection As – Manual"** along with **"Pick Stock from Bin"**, Logic ERP allows users to manually select the required bin during Packing Slip entry and allocate stock directly from the selected bin.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://kb.logicerp.com/logic-erp-learning-hub-tutorials-and-best-practices/billing/packing-slip/packing-slip-configuration/bin-selection-as.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
